Seven friends, four days of total isolation and the winter landscape of the Picos de Europa as the only horizon.

JOU tells the story of a group of skiers and mountaineers who decide to experience the mountains in a different way: stepping away from the fast-paced rhythm of classic ski touring and establishing a small base camp deep in the massif during the heart of winter.

From this temporary camp, set inside a jou — the characteristic karst depressions that shape the geography of the Picos de Europa — the team explores couloirs, slopes and frozen summits over several days, moving through a landscape where winter dictates its own rules.

But the film is not only about skiing lines or reaching peaks. At the center of JOU is the experience of living together in the mountains: planning routes under unpredictable weather conditions, managing fatigue, sharing meals inside the tents and strengthening the bonds that emerge when each person's safety depends entirely on the others.

Supported by Ferrino technical equipment, the expedition embraces a minimalist approach focused on collective decision-making and respect for the surrounding environment.

JOU ultimately becomes more than a mountain film: it is a story about friendship, trust and the deep connection between people and the winter mountains.
